The general ‘must have’ can be categorized into two divisions. The one which are absolutely necessary for initial action to a wound or superficial accident such as a cut, slight fall etc and the next which is secondary, usually the ones which require serious medical intervention.

- Wound cleaning supplies (such as moistened towelettes, cotton balls and hydrogen peroxide)

- Latex gloves
- Resuscitation equipment (such as a resuscitation bag)
- Elastic wraps
- Directions for obtaining emergency service
- A blanket
These are usually for the wounds that are superficial and used when it can be handled by a normal person. Cleaning of the wound is very important and if necessary needs to be shown to a doctor.
Apart from accidents, if an individual suddenly experiences conditions such as chest burn and pain, sweating and other illness such as fever , cough etc it is advised to keep certain medication that can control the particular situation immediately till medical help arrives.
While, having a medical kit is of utmost importance in an organisation, it is also that important for a person to have ample knowledge when come across a unlikely event or trauma. Organisations need to train their employees to a level that they can handle the situation calmly and patiently.
